Vom Haus Berg German Shepherd Dogs breeds excellent quality German dogs with a focus on "family" dogs as opposed to show dogs. The show dog breeders focus is to make sure conformation is correct and the working line breeders are ensuring we keep the strong working ability of the German Shepherd intact. Both are EXTREMELY important to ensure the future of the German Shepherd as it was meant to be. We need them both to protect the breed. We personally prefer a dog that still has strong nerves and won't run off when he needs to stand his ground and protect his family but is a beautiful animal as well. All breeding is an art and genetics can be unpredictable. We strive to learn more each time a breeding is done. We support the Orthopedic Foundation and check hips on all breeding dogs. Please support the breeders that focus on the integrity of the breed whether show or work. We have been breeding for 18 years and offer a hip guarantee. We train dogs as well so we also offer support even after the purchase.
We are members of Schutzhund USA, the German SV, and the German Shepherd Dog Club of America. Our German Shepherds come with American Kennel Club papers (AKC). We are also AKC Merit Breeders.
We also offer board and training combined while you are on vacation or just needing some help with your dog. We train all breeds regardless of pure bred or mixed, not just the German Shepherd breed. Our kennel building has large indoor/outdoor runs that are temperature controlled. Randy Smalley is our awesome obedience instructor as well as decoy.

We recommend that you learn who you are dealing with when you decide to send money for a puppy. Just because they have a nice web site does not imply honesty or integrity. I have visited several dog sites for my clients when I do not have what they need. When I looked at web sites selling dogs I had no idea what the seller(s) looked like, their integrity, reputation, or sometimes what state or country they were even living in let alone where the dogs really came from. We are incorporated as an "S" corporation and take what we do seriously. If you want references just ask, we will provide as many as you want. We do not put our client references on the site, which looks legit but that is not verifiable by you, the buyer. We have also imported several dogs that were not what we bought online with no recourse so choose wisely.

TRACY BERG
Tracy has been working with dogs in different specialties for several years. She started in San Francisco at 15 years of age working for a protection dog trainer walking dogs in down town San Francisco and socializing them to crowds, putting basic obedience on them and helping move and hold dogs for protection work. In 1996 and 1997 she worked with SAR groups training for wilderness searches in the Rocky Mountains and then wilderness live finds in Oklahoma. After that she moved onto the German sport of Schutzhund and learned many great things from Dean Calderon and his club he had in the Bay Area of California.
In 1999 she opened Brush Creek Dog Training & Boarding, Inc. and specializes solely in breeding German Shepherds for the last 18 years and that is now known as vom Haus Berg German Shepherds. She has a background in search and rescue, obedience training, protection dog training, and schutzhund.
RANDY SMALLEY
DIRECTOR OF TRAINING
Randy Smalley has been working dogs for over 40 years and is also a performance judge in the sport of schutzhund. He has also competed on the world team in Europe in schutzhund. Randy has shown and competed with several dogs in the European show ring. He has taken five dogs from the puppy stage to schutzhund 3.
Adding to all of this he has also competed and won at Regional Events in schutzhund. He has certified 5 dogs in explosive work, handler protection, and patrol work. He has helped too many dogs to count in obtaining schutzhund titles. He has been the training director for different schutzhund clubs and titled several dogs in AKC obedience. He has also worked with several breeds. Randy has worked and managed several breeding kennels and boarding kennels. We are happy to have him full time at our training kennel.
